Preamble:
The devil in his hidden and creeping animosity has captured the mind of many individual under his domain and as such raised an alarming state within the society which therefore produces a form of sobriety against such judgement along with the usual connotation 'it is the devil's work'
In this brief study of the devil, we shall be exploring his mysterious works and devises, so you can know him better and avoid him smartly (Matthew 10: 16) and equally know that, in as much as, the devil has a role to play in every of your misfortune or misdeeds, you also have a greater role in it (Proverb 16: 9) which is why God will be judging every individual for their action (Revelation 22: 11-14, Obediah 1: 15). Please sit back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.
Introduction:
Man in his nature and entirety has been made to manifest spiritual desires, knowingly or unknowingly, either for godliness or ungodliness which therefore allow them to be the most cherished among all creatures and equally befits them the quality of good worship and adoration unto the one whom their lordship is accorded.
Man also, has been limited to the abilities of five senses only (touch, sight, smell, hearing, and taste) in other to aide the purpose of their creation as a spiritual tools and as such fulfill the desire of the residence spirit in them which therefore proves that both God and the devil can effectively work through a man and sustain their desires even to a greater extent of negating the actual intent of the man.
The spirit of man is independent of followership but the actual path of the man by what he does physically became the line of action for such spirit, in other word, whatever you do will your spirit acknowledge (Proverb 23: 7a), i pray that you receive grace to do always that which pleases and glorify God in Jesus name, so that your spirit may be empower in that path for future endeavour.
One fact to note is that in as much as God desire your full lordship, the devil also desires it (Galatians 5: 17) to manifest and sustain his aim of coveting your soul (Matthew 16: 26, John 10: 10). The devil struggles and goes about with much determination and perilousness to make sure he stop the work of God in your life so be guided but God in His mercy and faithfulness protect His own.
Our bible text (2 Corinthians 11: 13-15 KJV) read:
''13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14, And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15, Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works''
Beloved, the devil in his craftiness knows how to gain your lordship by hiding under the shadow of righteousness and it is only God that can reveal his action as man in his knowledge or wiseness can never reveal him. It takes Him (God) that created him to reveal his secrete and expose him. May the lord grant you grace to that height of revelation in Jesus name.
The bible made us understand that the devil is full of wisdom and perfect in beauty and that all precious stone adorn him (Ezekiel 28: 12) and thus, for this cause he had hold many in captivity because the flesh which we are made of, and which doesn't submit to the law of God (Romans 8: 5-11) love the things of the world and all the beautiful things that come with it (1 John 2: 15-17) and thereby, submitting and adorning him, the devil, just as we have read above.
Romans 8: 5-11 KJV read:
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you"
1John 2: 15-17 KJV read:
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever"
Beloved, the point of decision is the place of power and that is where the devil is sitting to wait for most of his prey and ofcourse, you know that there are many ways that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof is destruction (Proverb 14: 12). It takes God and deep commitment to Him alone to see far deeper beyond certain limit because the deep calleth the deep (Psalm 42: 7a).
Nevertheless, the devil also gives good things and make thing happen that benefit his follower (Matthew 7: 11, Matthew 16: 26) but before that will happen, the soul has been taken as an exchange even without any prior notice or sign. The soul which is of eternal value cannot be compare to anything in the world because all that are in the world will fade away within a twinkle of an eye (1 Corinthians 7: 31, 1 John 2: 17) and the soul will be left to receive an eternal judgement and damnation (2 Thessalonians 1: 9, Revelation 22: 11)
However, every man has been given the power of choice (Proverb 16: 9) which the devil does not have control over but will only lure you to making a decision of his own. The devil will struggle passionately with you to make sure your decision falls within the ambit of his domain and territory especially when there is a glory attach.
Your decision and plans may not look wrong though but may be bringing glory to the devil and thereby helping his kingdom to grow but which God is going to judge critically.
One of the great instrument of the devil is partnerships and this comes through decision making process so as to nurture the end from the beginning. To partner is to be in full agreement with your partner and which can come in any of the three model or style, that is, by authority, by submission and by friendship. The bibles made us understand that "the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would" Galatians 5: 17 KJV
Decision making is one tough time era for the devil also because the bible verse above made us understand that two spiritual forces, one for God and the other for the devil which is of the flesh is always in conflict to gain over your soul whenever you want to make a decision so that you will not do that which you want but there is more tendency that every individual will follow the desire of the flesh except those that have critically subdue the flesh and allow the spirit of God in them takes precedence over everything they do (Galatians 5: 18).
The devil is not omnipresent and so he uses the people who have humbly submitted to his lordship around you for his good work over you either knowingly or unknowingly and thus, partner with you as an adviser, mentor, spiritual father, lord or emperor for which they will continue to nurture and monitor, so that the desire of their master through you is achievable.
The easiest and cheapest principle the devil adopt during partnering with you is love through those closer to you and whom you may likely obey and this becomes the door for which such activities could be open or close, which mean the moment you decline the request of those hidden partner whom are close to you, either knowingly or unknowingly, you automatically closes the door to their operation in your life but not without prayer and wisdom in God [Hosea 4: 6] as they are wolf in sheep clothing (1John 4: 1-4)
Consequently, it is paramont to be aware of a way out when you found yourself in such bondage of partnership with the devil either knowingly or unknowingly and therefore guide up your loin and be vigilant because such partner will not allow you go easily unless you fought your victory through prayer, faith and wisdom in God, perseverance, and self-determination because the activities of this agent of darkness are manifest via the invisible world of the spirit which cannot be comprehended or made visible to mere mortal except God gives you the grace and i declare to you that you receive that grace in Jesus name.
Ephesian 6: 10-14 reads:
10, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11, Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13, Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14, Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
1. Environmental change:
This is one important factor that needs be consider as a way of spiritual warfare, if you find yourself allegedly entangle with a devilish partner as described above or in such a suspecting neighbourhood. Environment can pose great obstacle that may not allow you harness God's potential at it peak and except you change it, if you find yourself in that category, you may not make a headway. It affect every individual to a certain degree, either positively or negatively, especially when it is from childhood (Genesis 12: 1-3).
Genesis 12:1-3 KJV reads:
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
One of the things that could cause a constriction or break in transmission in the massive flow of love and partnership from such an agent of the devil as describe above toward you is change of environment being applied with wisdom in God. We have read above that the devil feeds on those closer to you, that you are likely to obey in the area of advise and instruction, and who share some feeling or relationship with you and the moment this flow or closeness is tampered, there will be a corresponding effect spiritually depending on how tune or prune you are to God.
As we read above, environmental factor defer from individual to individual which means that what works for you may not work for other, and so, a thorough and diligent sorting of God's opinion is recommended to make judegment if environmental change will be a concern prior to the present circumstance of the individual. May the lord gives you grace for a deeper understanding in Jesus name.
2. Personal communion with God:
This is another great tool for spiritual warfare when you find yourself in such entaglement of devilish partner. In as much as God takes delight in your cooperate worship, He greatly desire your personal hour of communion with Him as this is so precious for your personal relationship to Him (God) (Matthew 6: 6-8, Luke 5: 15-16, John 4: 23-24) and one of the advantage of this personal hour with your God is that it allow you to know your status as it reveal to you your spiritual garment and show you clearly area where you may have compromise.
Matthew 6:6-8 KJV reads:
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him"
Luke 5:15-16 NIV reads:
"Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed"
John 4: 23-24 KJV read:
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth"
Beloved, i am glad to announce to you that you have ultimate direct access to God who is your father, no matter who you are whether small or big and He is a real father indeed, just like your biological earthly father and that you are free to call on Him at your lonely hour as He desire such so you be focus on Him.
Your personal hour to your father (God) should be a hour of worship, adoration, praise, meditating on his word. This must be an hour when distraction is totally less, preferably a lonely and silent hour. During this hour, the father who is the Lord above all other father of fathers will come to you and reveal Himself much better to you to reveal any hidden mysterious partnership. I pray that you find mercy at this time of need in Jesus name.
Galatians 5: 18-26 KJV read:
"But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another"
Conclusion:
Having established that the devil partner with you by his loyalist who are around you especially those closer to you through adviser, mentor, spouse or spiritual father to nurture and monitor his goal respectively and that the great instrument being used which also becomes the gate to open and closes such activities is love.
Also, that one of the ways you can receive grace for revelation to know the status of your spiritual garment and see into such mysterious partnership if available is personal communion at your lonely and quiet hour without any level of distraction and with so much focus, passionate worship and praise and adoration follow by deepness into his word because God is a spirit and they that worship Him must do it in spirit and in truth (Matthew 6: 6-8, Luke 5: 15-16, John 4: 23-24).
Therefore, i will admonished you to harness the power of personal communion with your true father and watch Him in action. I pray you find grace to know Him personally in Jesus name.

Confession:
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).
Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
