In our last sermon, we discussed on a message tittled, ‘tithing, a form of offerings and sacrifice’ to consciously awaken our understanding of the pros and cons involve in such practise and to help bring to light the dark shadow which unveil or surround the recent chaos over the subject matter within the general public.

Preamble:

This week, we shall be looking at the topic "The essence of Love" to see how this becomes a tool that brings down strong holes even for God and Satan, and that is needed for exploit at all level.  Love is beautiful and it is one of the sweetest things in life but it is also the most dangerous as it can easily becomes a property of your soul or subconscious which therefore determines your action. Please sit back and enjoy this great lecture that will change your life forever.

Introduction:

Love is natural, dependable, and honest [1 Corinthians 13: 4-5]. It is spiritual for it is unseen and a properties of the subconscious. It is sacrificial for it involves a sensational giving. It is also one of the greatest and powerful tools which had set the world ablaze both for God and the devil even as simple as it is. 

Loving is a two way phenomenal and cannot be complete until it is made so. It is an act of obeisance towards the one being loved as it involve an exchange of individual humility, agreement and understanding between the parties involved which therefore necessitates the need for trust and obedience. In other words, to love is to give out or negotiate ones trust and loyalty in response to the considerable effect and desire towards the one being loved and which is deeply acknowledged in the spiritual.

God in His infinite mercy loved man [John 3: 16] and equally expect man to reciprocate His love but reverse is the case today as the foundation of man has been corrupted through sin and continuous disobedience to God’s principles [Romans 3: 23] and which is why men struggle or finds it difficult to love God above certain limit. I pray the lord grant you grace to love Him above all that matter to you in life in Jesus name.

Love is powerful and able to bring down strongest stronghold which is why the first and greatest commandment of God is anchored on love and thus, admonished us to love the lord our God first with all our heart, soul and mind and likewise to love your neighbour as yourself [Matthew 22: 37-40]. Loving God does not come by chance though but by knowing Him through series of encounter and testimonies which doesn’t come except by His words [Romans 10: 17].

Our bible reading admonishes us, thus:

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us” [1 John 4: 7-8].

Beloved, God is love and he that loveth not is not born of God just as we have read above. To love is to allow and bear the excesses of the one being loved, just as God had bear our inadequacies by sending His only begotten son so we may live and have eternal life through Him [John 3: 16]. This therefore proves that to love is to give or negotiate one’s ability and commitment in the capacity of individual’s natural existence and composition towards others.

Furthermore, to love God above certain limit is to be able to give out or negotiate your commitment towards His principles and commandments, in respond or return for His enormous blessing and spiritual empowerment [2 Timothy 2: 20-21]. In this same manner, we show love to one another giving out and negotiating our trust, commitment and care in the capacity of our existence towards each other.

Having acknowledged that to love is to give and negotiate one’s ability and that it is profitable to give than to receive as God love a cheerful giver [Act 20: 35, Luke 6: 38-40], then we will always appreciate it more to love others and allow God to reward such benevolent act and He that sees what is done in secrete will reward you openly [Matthew 6: 1-3]. May you receive the ability to this level of manifestation in Jesus name.

God is love and to love others is to manifest His glory among men and lightens up every dark area of their life but the perfect love that transcends all understanding and peace is the love of God [Philippians 4: 7] which glow only through His children because you cannot give what you don’t have [1 John 4: 7-8].

Every creature [man] born of God has the ability to exhibit and show love even the devil and his demons because they were born of God until iniquities was found in them and so they sinned against God their creator [Ezekiel 28: 12-15] but any love found in them is to kill, and destroy as they have no other business on earth than this [John 10: 10].

The ability of the devil to show love under the disguise of God’s love as explained above gives him the perfect medium to deceive his prey into his domain and captivity which therefore serve as the most dangerous tool in his hand [1 John 2: 15-17]. It is therefore very necessary to be conscious and be cautioned of whom you give your love and likewise how you execute your goodwill so as not to fall into the devil’s trap [1 John 4: 1].

Just as we said above, love is a property of the subconscious and thus, had the ability to penetrate the soul and which is why it is deeply acknowledge spiritually. It is a perfect medium for God and likewise the devil to manifest and take hold of the residing body especially when a spiritual union has been acknowledge either through marriage, mating, and initiation. 

Infact, the worst thing in life is for a man or woman to be in love with his or her enemy or agent of darkness, pretending to be a true friend, because the devil will always come to you in sheep's clothing, as an angel of light (Matthew 7: 15) and trust me, every person in such category will find difficulty in getting delivered because of the love veil being shared, even after series of prayers and except that veil is taken out of the way until deliverance will find them and it is more even worst when such case is in marriage (Deuteronomy 7: 3-5). May the lord open your spiritual eyes to select a good spouse for yourself and you shall not fall victim of such devices of the devil in Jesus name.

The essence of love is to give and negotiate one’s ability and commitment towards each other but in such a manner that will glorify God and not the devil as this form the major criteria to receive reward from God even if the recipient partner is not reciprocating the desire, a record has been made with God which is the paramount because He is the one that will judge all man for their deed [James 4: 12].

In the light of the above, our lord Jesus Christ admonished us that anyone who love their father or mother more than Him is not worthy of Him and anyone who love their son or daughter more than Him is not worthy of Him [Matthew 10: 37] because He knows that love is a properties of the your subconscious which penetrate through the soul and determine your action, and which therefore means that you must love Him [Jesus Christ] first above all that matter to you in this life for Him to take lordship of your soul or if not, those matter which you place above Him will be contending the lordship of your soul with Him. I pray for you that every parameters you need to love Him [Jesus Christ] above all that matter to you in this life be made available to you in Jesus name.

Love is needed at all level of life’s endeavour, either in marriage, friendship, family, and business but it is of high importance to be very conscious to control what level of love is giving, how it is giving, and whom to give, as this forms the major determinant as to whether you will not be a victim of the devil. May the lord perfect your understanding on this in Jesus name.

Love is powerful and could be a weapon of warfare even against your adversaries only if it is followed in a godly manner and which is available to those that have known Him [God] through Christ. Our lord, Jesus Christ, made us understand "Do good to those who hate you and persecute you so you remove yourself from God’s judgement and as such they are heaping a hot coal on themselves and incurring God wrath" [Romans 12: 20, Luke 6: 32-40].

Conclusion:

Love is powerful, capable of being a property of your soul and determine your action which is a great instrument for God and the devil to take full lordship over you, so be conscious of how you give your love, whom you give your love and the degree to which it is manifested so as not to be a victim of the devil.

To love is to give and negotiate one’s commitment and trust towards the one being loved and each other and since it is more profitable to give than to receive as we have learnt above [Act 20: 35], then I admonish you to love God first, followed by your neighbour which serve as the first and greatest commandment of God [Matthew 22: 37-40], so as to perfect a good reward both from men and God especially to those who have known Him through Christ Jesus. May the lord grant the ability to this level of love in Jesus name.

Confession: 

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour and you are convinced that you need him to come into your life so you can also tap into the grace available through shedding of his blood, and equally partake of the effectiveness of his wrath and the blessing that comes with it, and that you are sure, you are ready to repent from all those sin of fornication, adultery, lying, sexual immorality, pride, jealousy, hatred, idolatry, selfish ambition, witchcraft, impurity and debauchery, dissensions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and the likes, then locate a quiet place, be sober and be on your knees, and make this little confession but remember to be sure of what you are doing, so that you will not be using God to play, when you respect him and give him honour, he will also honour you in the sight of men (Matthew 6: 6).

Lord Jesus, i come with total humbleness of heart to ask for forgiveness of my sins and accept you as my lord and saviour, please forgive me of all my sin (you can begin to name them if you know them) I surrender my life to you and i want you to come and take full charge over my life and i accept you as my lord and my saviour, please cleanse me with your blood that you shed on the cross and make me a new man leaving old things behind, I promise to serve you and do your will at all time and i ask for the strength to carry on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
